while the threatening Vesuvius rises close to the Roman site of Pompei…


Day 3 Amalfi
- Sorrento
(
According to legend , the creeks of Sorrento were inhabited
by enchanting sirenes and the town
«Surrentum» was named after them.
Since ages Sorrento has been a major tourist
destination and often it has been praised in literature.
The town and the
whole «Sorrentine» peninsula are stretched out in the Tyrrhenian Sea between the gulf of Naples and the one of Salerno, and have always been appreciated because of their special beauty and mild climat.

While you are in Sorrento take the
opportunity to make an
excursion to Pompei (30km).

Day 4 Sorrento
- Procida (
Situated half way between Naples and Capri, this island combinates
the charm of both places.

Day 5 Procida
- Ventotene (
A miniature island with a small
port that was excavated in the rocks during the Roman period, when the
island used to be a renowned centre of aquaculture.
A charming small village is overlooking the port.


Day 6 Ventotene - Ponza (
The island was created by a volcano and the
colours of the minerals create fascinating combinations.

Day 7 Ponza - Ventotene (
You can choose between sailing back to Ventotene or enjoy one of the anchorages of Ponza .
Day 8 Ventotene -
Here
you will find an atmosphere of total simplicity. The villages have kept their
authenticity and the island is less sophisticated than
Ischia, the green island, is very fertile and covered with
numerous cultivations and forests.

Day 9 Ischia Lacco Ameno -
Ischia
If
the weather is favourable drop anchor below the fortress, where it is more quiet
than in the main port.

Day 10 Ischia Porto -
This extensive cave recieved its name
from the magnificent rays of blue, who are created by the reflection of the sun on the
underwater calcareous walls. Stupefying and serene scenery !

Day 11 Capri
- Acciaroli (
This was
Hemingway’s favourite place in Italy
where he used to spent many
holidays.

Day 12 Acciaroli - Cap Palinuro (
Visit the interior of the caves of Palinuro : the Blue Cave, the Cave
of Blood, the Cave of the Monks, etc. Stopover on the beach of Buondormire to
relax, swim and taste a glass of strawberry fragranced "fragolino" wine.

Day 13 Cap Palinuro - S.Marco di Castellabate (

A good
starting point to visit Paestum.

Day 14 San.Marco di Castellabate - Agropoli (
A last journey in the beautiful gulf of Sorrento.
Day 15 Disembarkation at
If you have time enough before your
departure, you can leave your
luggage with the supervisor of the base and go and enjoy the
beach.
